The University of Nevada, Reno Fire Science Academy is a program of the University of Nevada, Reno. Founded in 1972 as the Dodd Beals Fire Protection Training Academy in Stead, Nevada, the university's newly named Fire Science Academy was relocated to Carlin, Nevada, in 1999.
