  • Day 1 – Tuesday
    0800-1200: Classroom
    1300-1700: Fire Field

    Highlights:
    • Introductions, Firefighter Safety, Risk/Benefit Model, Tactics, Hose Handling, Effective Streams including physical characteristics and effects of water streams and reading the fire to determine effectiveness, Training Exercises

  • Day 2 – Wednesday
    0800-1200: Classroom
    1300-1700: Fire Field

    Highlights:
    • Incident Command including management principles and concepts, components of ICS and the ICS organization, LPG, Training Exercises

  • Day 3 – Thursday
    0800-1200: Classroom
    1300-1700: Fire Field

    Highlights:
    • Fixed Fire Protection Systems including sprinkler systems, fixed monitors and fire detection systems, Flammable Liquid and Gas Emergencies including open oil tank fires, foam application rate, rim fires on floating roof tank, subsurface injection, slopover, pipeline emergencies, and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, Training Exercises

  • Day 4 – Friday
    0800-1200: Fire Field
    1300-1700: Classroom

    Highlights:
    • Training Exercises, Course Review, Examination

Select training dates include a "night burn" on Thursday. For these course dates, the Thursday schedule changes to 1400-1700: Classroom, 1800-2200: Field Training Exercises.
