  Highlights:
  • Introductions, Safety, fire service hydraulics, water flow and friction through large diameter hose, and single – and double-hose lays.

• Day 2 – Wednesday
  0800-1700: Classroom

  Highlights:
  • Relay, tandem and dual pumping; field friction loss calculations for both handlines and master streams; portable pumps; apparatus service tests

• Day 3 – Thursday:
  0800-1700: Classroom

  Highlights:
  • Hydraulic calculations; use of large diameter hose for both supply and attack; operation/trouble shooting of various foam systems; hands-on field exercises

• Day 4 – Friday:
  0800-1200: Fire Field
  1300-1700: Classroom

  Highlights:
  • Hands-on field exercises, course review, examination and graduation
