Main Campus (Carlin, Nevada)

Capitalizing on the vast open space of northeastern Nevada, the academy's state-of-the-art campus was built in a picturesque setting of sage-covered hills outside the town of Carlin. The academy is 20 miles west of Elko, Nevada, with the Ruby Mountains nearby, offering some of the finest outdoor recreation and most beautiful landscapes in the West.

The Campus features:

  • Full-scale burnable props, utilizing liquid petroleum fuels in real-life situations
  • Multilevel replica of an oil refinery operation
  • 70-foot foam suppression tank – the largest training tank in North America
  • Training grounds and props for hazardous materials, technical and confined-space rescue, extrication exercises, and aircraft emergency response
  • Multimedia classrooms and lecture auditorium
  • Turnout building with showers and locker rooms
  • PPE gear and SCBA rentals available
  • Spacious dining commons and food service building

Redfield Campus (Reno, Nevada)

The Redfield Campus is a collaborative effort in education and training, combining the resources of the University of Nevada, Reno, Truckee Meadows Community College, the Redfield Foundation and local businesses. Located in south Reno along Mt. rose Highway, the Redfield Campus is situated in one of the fastest-growing areas in the region.
