Course Description
Industrial Fire Brigade Leader
This 32-hour comprehensive advanced course, targeted to fire brigade members, company officers and others with command responsibilities on an emergency scene, provides the tools to conduct an effective fire ground size-up and to develop strategies and tactics that effectively mitigate an emergency situation. Classroom instruction and hands-on field exercises address strategies and tactics including incident decisions, tactical objectives and their priorities, pre-incident planning, site experts, mutual aid, strategic considerations and community resources; risk vs. benefit; monitoring and detection equipment, recognition and identification including identification clues.
For acceptance to this course, students must meet the prerequisite of attending the FSA Entry-Level Industrial Firefighter and Advanced Exterior Industrial Firefighter courses or have received equivalent training.

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA):
For the safety of all students, SCBAs are required and provided by the
FSA for all open-enrollment fire fighting courses.
