Course Description
ARFF FAA / CFR 139.9 Annual Live-Fire Refresher
This 8-hour course is designed to meet current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airport firefighter requirements for annual "live-fire" training and is targeted to airport firefighters or firefighters who respond to airport emergencies and have already complied with the FAA annual classroom training refresher courses. Hands-on field exercises simulate wheel fires; brake fires; pressurized hydraulic fluid fires (landing gear); tail and under wing engine fires; dump valve fires; interior/galley fires and large volume fuel spill fires. Simulations will present combinations of the above fires.

Important Notice Regarding ARFF Training:
Students will conduct fieldwork in approved personal protective equipment,
including SCBA and other appropriate equipment, which can be considered
physically and mentally strenuous.
