Course Description

Industrial Pump Operator

This is 32-hour course, targeted to industrial firefighters who have or will be assigned pump operator duties, meets the non-driving portions of NFPA 1002 Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator. Instruction addresses fire service hydraulics; field friction loss calculations for both handlines and master streams; use of large diameter hose for both supply and attack and operation/trouble shooting of various foam systems found on industrial apparatus.

Important Notice Regarding Pump Operator Training:
Students are required to bring safety boots and ANSI approved safety glasses for use. Note: Students need to be aware of the possibility of their clothing getting wet.
